Session preparation (5 minutes)
  • Find a quiet, comfortable place where you feel at ease. If you can, hold something that brings you comfort or a sense of security such as a favorite item, or even just your own hands. Let yourself settle into this safe space, allowing your body and mind to relax.
  • Take a brief moment to simply observe your breath. Let your attention rest on the sensation of air moving in and out. Allow any thoughts to pass without engaging with them and just focus on breathing, even if only for a few breaths. This small pause can help bring calm and clarity to your mind.
  • Gently close your eyes. Allow yourself to acknowledge that the environment you are in is safe and secure. Let this sense of safety surround you, reassuring both your mind and body. Trust that, in this moment, you are protected and at ease.
Aftercare ritual
  • Take a moment to write down any insights, thoughts, or emotions that have come up and feel important or interesting to you. These notes can be brief, personal and just enough to remind you of what you’d like to explore more deeply in our next session. Keeping track of these reflections can help guide our conversation and support your ongoing growth.
  • Set aside at least 15 minutes just for yourself before engaging in any work or activities. Use this time to check in with your emotions and organize your thoughts. Allow yourself to process how you’re feeling, acknowledge any stress or concerns, and give yourself permission to reset. This intentional pause can help you approach your next tasks with greater clarity, balance, and focus.
  • Take a moment to drink some water and have a light snack to nourish your body. If possible, step outside and enjoy a few deep breaths of fresh air. These simple actions can help refresh your mind and body, preparing you to move forward with renewed energy.
